Landscape proposal for lake park near Celje
This development project went into realisation in the European regional funding frame under initiative of Celje municipality. We took part in it in the early conceptual phase designing the system of paths surrounding the lake.
Our main task was focused on sustainable design and technical solutions that correspond to challenges of providing the infrastructure for purposes of recreation and outdoor activities.
Restaurant design
The objective of this pleasurable task was to transform an outdated and somewhat dull design of an existing restaurant into a fresh and light image.
The project was challenging because the interior items had to remain practically identical. The desired effect was achieved mainly through renewing and repainting the surfaces, as well with choosing the suitable wall cladding and furniture.
Office space proposition
A project for providing additional office space in the existing premises of an insurance company. The main challenge was to manage the disposition of elements in a longitudinal hall and to provide sufficient but discrete illumination.
The final design envisions wooden lamel wall cladding in order to improve acoustic and visual qualities of the interrior. The hall also serves as an exhibition space for paintings and other social and business events of the company.
Historical mansion renewal
Our project for historical renewal features a mansion from 19 th century. The building was in very bad shape and needed to be completly refurbished. Furthermore, new programme had to be situated in existing space disposition, therefore some extensions had to be provided to accomodate demands for public functionality.
Our task was to provide such solutions that would cater private client's needs on one side and fit the heritage preservation regulations on the other. The featured staircase extension is an example of modern intervention that reflects historical qualities of the mansion through contrast.
Wooden modular housing unit
A case-study housing unit was designed upon request for cost-effective model of providing accommodation in local tourism-designated areas. In terms of sustainable starting point it was crucial to use locally provided materials and vernacular design pricipals. Our goal was to create a modern product that would be easy to manufacture and which blends into traditional landscape. The result is a modern minimalistic interpretation of basic volume and proportion relationship in locally present region-specific houses in the surrounding area.
